Privacy Policy
Version 2026-04-23 • Last updated April 23, 2026
1. Scope
This policy explains how Pooformance collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information and related pet information when you browse the site, upload a photo, pay for a report, request support, or receive a report by email.
Secure transit
Submitted information is intended to be transmitted using encrypted connections.
Stored for service needs
Submitted stool photos may be stored so they can appear in reports, support customers, improve quality, and help us improve the product.
Operational emails
If you request delivery by email, we use your email address to send the purchased report.
2. Information we collect
Depending on your use, we may collect:
- Pet details you provide, such as species, age range, weight range, food, and owner concerns.
- Uploaded image data and technical metadata required to process the image.
- Checkout and transaction data generated by the payment provider.
- Email addresses submitted for reports, updates, or support-related communications.
- Basic device, browser, usage, diagnostic, and analytics information.
- Referral and campaign attribution, including UTM parameters, UGC link identifiers, landing pages, and referrers.
- Records of legal acceptance, such as privacy and terms acceptance timestamps and versions.
3. How we use information
- To create, deliver, and support the purchased stool analysis report.
- To store the submitted stool photo so it can be shown inside the report page and PDF.
- To process payments, prevent fraud, investigate abuse, and maintain security.
- To understand which referral, creator, UGC, or campaign sources lead to previews, checkouts, payments, and completed reports.
- To troubleshoot errors, run internal quality review, improve report quality, and improve product performance.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and keep internal records.
4. How we share information
We may share data with service providers that support hosting, storage, payments, analytics, customer communications, and AI processing. In this product stack, that may include infrastructure and vendors such as payment processors, email delivery providers, analytics providers, database/hosting providers, and AI model providers acting on our instructions.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
Analytics and session replay
We may use analytics tools, including PostHog, to understand page views, clicks, referral sources, UGC links, checkout progress, payment status, report delivery, and technical errors. We use a pseudonymous visitor ID to connect events in the same journey and may associate hashed email metadata, such as email domain and email hash, when you submit an email address.
Session replay may be used to diagnose product issues and improve usability. Inputs are masked and sensitive page text can be marked for masking; payment details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored in our analytics events.
5. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including transaction records, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and service improvement. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to reduce unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure, but no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or data portability. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. We will review and respond as required by applicable law.
To exercise privacy rights or ask a question, contact us through support@poo-formance.com.
7. Children and updates
The service is not intended for children to purchase on their own. We may update this policy from time to time, and the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date or version number.
This page is a product implementation baseline and should be reviewed by qualified counsel for the jurisdictions where you operate and sell.
